On 29/10/2024 our school proudly held a Dyslexia Awareness Parade within the school premises to mark Dyslexia Awareness Month. The purpose of this event was to spread awareness, promote understanding, and create a supportive environment for students with dyslexia.
The parade was a meaningful initiative made by School Counsellor Ms Diksha Neolia and Special Educator Ms Sadia. Through this event, our school successfully fostered a greater sense of awareness and understanding, encouraging everyone to embrace a more inclusive approach to education.
As the parade progressed, students marched proudly within school premises , with supportive cheers from their peers, teachers, and staff. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and unity, as everyone joined hands in raising awareness and promoting inclusivity.
As part of Dyslexia Awareness Month, mental health dept. of our school held a Poster Making Competition to raise awareness about dyslexia, its challenges, and the importance of understanding and supporting individuals with dyslexia. The event took place on 25th and 26th of October, and students from classes 6to 10th actively participated, showcasing their creativity and empathy.
The competition aimed to encourage participants to research dyslexia and express their understanding visually. The posters highlighted themes such as understanding dyslexia, promoting inclusive education, and breaking stereotypes. Participants used vibrant colors, thoughtful illustrations, and powerful messages to depict the struggles and strengths of people with dyslexia, emphasizing the need for compassion, patience, and proper support.
The judgement was done on the basis of creativity, relevance to the theme, clarity of message, and overall presentation. After careful consideration, winners were as below!!! Congratulations to all the winners.
