On 9th October 2024, the Delhi Police organized a special workshop at DAV Public School, Jasola Vihar, New Delhi, for students of Class 8. The event was led by senior officials from the Jasola Vihar Police Station and South Delhi Police, focusing on guiding students through the challenges of adolescence and promoting safety awareness.
The workshop addressed the growing concerns of cybercrime, educating students about the potential risks in the digital world and the steps they can take to protect themselves online. Various safety measures for everyday life were discussed, along with vital information on how to effectively use police helplines in times of need.
In addition to safety precautions, the workshop emphasized the importance of staying away from negative influences, maintaining personal discipline, and contributing positively to society. The officers encouraged the students to see the police not as figures of authority to be feared, but as friends and allies who are there to help and protect them.
This initiative by the Delhi Police aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among the youth, helping them become better citizens while ensuring their personal safety and well-being.
