Shubh Vijaydashmi Craft Activity
On the occasion of Vijaydashmi, Class 1 students participated in a delightful craft activity titled Shubh Vijaydashmi. The young learners were excited as they colored and decorated an image of Goddess Durga using various decorative materials like glitter, sequins, and colorful paper. This hands-on activity allowed the children to showcase their creativity while learning about the significance of the festival.
In addition to the craft work, the children watched the story of Mahishasura and Goddess Durga on the smartboard. The visual storytelling engaged the students, providing them with a deeper understanding of the festival's importance and the victory of good over evil. The children were captivated by the visuals and were curious to learn more about the mythology behind the celebration of Vijaydashmi

Class Activity: Colouring and Decoration on Maa Durga
Theme - Divine Strength and Compassion. 
Class 2 students enthusiastically participated in a colourful activity, decorating picture of Maa Durga. They showcased their creativity and fine motor skills using crayons, markers, and glitter. As they coloured, they learned about Maa Durga's significance and story. The activity encouraged self-expression, creativity, and cultural awareness. Students proudly displayed their artwork. This engaging activity developed their motor skills, colouring techniques, and understanding of Maa Durga's importance. The colourful creations added a vibrant touch to the classroom, celebrating the essence of Maa Durga.
 
CCA ACTIVITY 
Fancy Dress (Dussehra)Competition - Class-III
A Fancy Dress Competition was organised for Class III, centered around the theme of ‘Dussehra.’ Students embraced the spirit of the festival by dressing as characters from the epic Ramayana, including Ram, Sita, Hanuman, and Ravana, Bharat, kaikai , Shabri etc among others.
Each participant showcased their character through engaging performances, emphasizing the significance of good over evil. The event was filled with creativity and enthusiasm, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Dussehra.

#INTERHOUSE DANDIYA STICK DESIGN ACTIVITY ON 4th and 5th October 2024 @ DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL JASOLA VIHAR 
On the 4th and 5th of October 2024, students from classes 6-8 and 9-10 participated in an exciting Interhouse Dandiya Stick Design Activity during their house activity period. This creative endeavor was organized to mark the auspicious occasion of Navratri. Students enthusiastically took part in designing and decorating beautiful dandiya sticks, showcasing their artistic skills and cultural enthusiasm.
The activity provided a platform for students to explore traditional art forms while celebrating the spirit of Navratri. The vibrantly adorned dandiya sticks, embellished with colorful ribbons, sequins, and beads, reflected the joy and festivity of the season. Each house put forth its best effort, making the competition lively and engaging, while also fostering teamwork and a sense of cultural pride.
This event was a delightful blend of creativity, culture, and collaboration, setting the perfect tone for the Navratri celebrations ahead.
