The National Book Trust (NBT) organized a captivating workshop on storytelling and caricature for students of Classes 5 and 7 at DAV Public School, Jasola Vihar on the 6th of May 2024. The workshop aimed to foster creativity, imagination, and communication skills among the students through engaging activities.
The workshop commenced with an interactive session on the art of storytelling. Renowned storyteller Ms. Rituparma Ghosh from NBT mesmerized the students with enthralling narratives, emphasizing the importance of storytelling in communication and expression. Through anecdotes and interactive storytelling sessions, students learned the nuances of crafting compelling stories, building characters, and captivating audiences.
Following the storytelling session, the focus shifted to caricature art. Expert caricaturist Mr. Karan Singh demonstrated the techniques of caricature drawing, encouraging students to unleash their artistic potential. Students were provided guidance to create caricatures, depicting various emotions, expressions, and personalities. The hands-on experience allowed students to explore their creativity and hone their artistic skills under the guidance of seasoned professional.
